Investigations for Detecting Damage

Samples are primarily taken from structures and surfaces that appear damaged to detect microbial growth. Before taking samples, it is advisable to identify the building’s moisture prone structures, known as “risk structures,” for microbial growth, as part of the building technical investigation. This way, sampling can be focused on the potential damage area, or the damage can be verified visually or through moisture measurements.
